Former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe has called on Nigerian youths to be a change agent in order to solve the problem of failures in politics.

Orubebe made the call while speaking on his journey in politics and political leadership at a one day leadership experience/political awareness summit  tagged, “Repositioning youths for leadership” held in Living Faith Church Abuja. He said, “Before you become a leader you must understand leadership system”.

According to him politics is not a dirty game but it is individual players that are dirty, stressing that the only way Nigerian youths can be repositioned is to reinvent themselves.

“Your tomorrow is defined by the input you make today because it is more exciting to tell your success,” he added.

Speaking on the topic; “Integrating women into Nigeria political sphere,” former presenter of Political Platform Programmed on Ray-Power FM Abuja, and executive director, PRIMORG, Mr. Austin Okhiria Agbonsuremi said, women should be educated and involved in mentorship. “You cannot go to where you are going with your certificate without mentorship,” he added.

“Let our politicians change the narrative against women in politics and embrace legal frame work to accommodate women in matters that concerns the society,” he said.

He went further to encourage Nigerians to not just get their PVC but also participate in the voting  process.

Sparking further, a Motivational Speaker/Leadership Development Expert, Dr. Linus Okorie who was the keynote speaker in the programme said, “You cannot grow in leadership until you understand the learning system which is knowledge.”
