Startimes Commends LEADERSHIP, Seeks More Collaboration



The chief executive officer (CEO) of a leading digital Transmission Company in Nigeria (NTA-STAR TV Network Limited), Justin Zhang has commended LEADERSHIP Group Limited, publishers of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, for the cordial and sustainable partnership between the two organisations.
Mr Zhang made the commendation, yesterday, when he led a Startimes delegation to the corporate headquarters of the LEADERSHIP Group Limited in Abuja.
“We are here because LEADERSHIP Newspapers is a respected media outfit and Startimes is privileged to be associated with it.”
Zhang appealed for the strengthening of the existing collaboration between the two organisations, saying that the partnership is mutually beneficial to both organisations.
“Startimes has benefited immensely from the cordial relationship that existed between it and LEADERSHIP Newspapers.
“As the pioneer of the transition from analogue to digital transmission in Nigeria, Startimes set the benchmark as far as the digital transmission is concerned.
“Our programmes and activities have enjoyed tremendous coverage by LEADERSHIP. Therefore, we want this partnership to continue, and even strengthened, because Nigerians must be kept abreast of the services of NTA-STAR TV Network Limited.”
Zhang explained that though, the existence of Free TV poses some threat to Pay TV, the Free TV is limited in programme listing. And that Startimes services has provided varied subscription options for Nigerians.
“Subscribers to Pay TV have more options that may not be available to the Free TV.”
Responding, the executive vice president, LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Christian Ochiama thanked the Startimes delegation for the visit, assuring them of LEADERSHIP’s continuous support to ensure that Nigerians are adequately sensitised on the programmes and activities of the company.
