Adamawa Govt To Take Legal Action Against Media Fomenting Religious Crisis



Adamawa government says, it would  take legal action, against any media reportage along religious line, aimed at cause religious crisis in the state.
The reaction, is against the backdrop of on line reports, that governor Muhammed Bindow ,is under pressure to drop his  Deputy for a Muslim candidates.
In a statement by Ahmad Sajoh, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, the report was from discredited politicians, who lost value and using ethnicity and religion for personal interest.
“In their desperation, includes the recent hijacking of a peaceful procession organized  by credible body in the state.
” The online reporter, is a former politicians, who left the APC for the PDP, believing that financial war chest of the parties, would determine their electoral fortunes.
“Any medium that deliberately peddled fictitious reports, to tarnish the image of government for selfish interest, would be treated in the court of law.
“Government  is aware that, some politicians in the  state, who have lost political relevance, have resorted to using ethnicity and religion as political currencies  in the run-up to the 2019 elections.
Sajoh said, no amount of religious bigotry would stop government, from improving the well-being of its people in the state.
