Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) youth wing under the auspices of Uba Sani for Senate Supporters Group have thrown their weight behind the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna State.
The group has also declared their support for Uba Sani who is the present Political Adviser to governor El-rufai who is seeking the senatorial seat.
Rising from a meeting which lasted for hours at the weekend in Kaduna, the youth wing said, no other person would win the Senate seat, except Uba Sani because according to them only him can bring tangible development to the area.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the meeting, the youth leader, Malam Aminu Lawal said the meeting will be held from time to time until their preferred persons win the election to respective political offices.
He said, “We the youths and supporters group have endorsed President Buhari, Governor el-rufai and Uba Sani respectively for the 2019 general elections.
“These are our candidates for the Presidency, governorship and the Kaduna Central Senatorial zone.
“No going back for us because as long as we are concerned, no other persons can lead us to the Promised Land in 2019 than these tested political leaders. They have brighter chances to defeat the opponents.
“We make bold to say that Uba Sani is the best among the Senatorial candidates because the incumbent Senator has disappointed the people in terms of attracting projects to the zone.
“The kind of development governor El-rufai has brought to Kaduna, no past leader has ever done that, but because some people just want to distract him, they feel nothing is good about his administration.
“We are calling on the electorate to ensure that they vote for who will secure their future, and not those who will come and squander the treasury”.
Asked how felt about those who defected to PDP from APC, the youth leader simply said, “It is a good omen for APC because they were in the party trying to distabilise it. So it is good that they left APC”.
He however declined comment on the controversial suspension of Senator Shehu Sani by the State chapter of the APC.
