NCPC Assures Pilgrims Of Improved Service Delivery

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has assured pilgrims of improved service delivery in its pilgrimage operations.

The federal commissioner representing Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on NCPC Board, Rev Dr Israel Akanji disclosed this in Jerusalem during the certificate presentation ceremony.

Rev Akanji who stood in for both the chairman of NCPC, Pastor Yomi Kasali and the executive secretary, Rev. Uja Tor Uja, made this known in a statement made available by the Head Media of the commission, Mr Celestine Toruka.

According to the statement, Akanji noted that during the pilgrimage exercise, the commission observed some areas that might need improvement.

The statement reads in part, “Easter pilgrimage ought to have commenced in the first quarter of the year, but was delayed due to visa challenges.

“The commission is grateful to God for the resolution of the problem following the intervention of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha.”

He informed that the Board was worried about the absconding of pilgrims during pilgrimage, which necessitated their meeting with the Nigerian ambassador to Israel recently.

The statement also quoted the representative of the Conference of States and chairman, Oyo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Bishop Ademola Moradeyo who commended Rev Uja for his able leadership.
