The Kaduna State Police command gets new Commissioner of Police who is Malam Ahmad Abdulrahaman.
The Command Police Public Relations officer, DSP Sabo Yakubu made the disclosure in a press statement in Kaduna.
According to him, Abdulrahaman resumed duty on August 6, he took over from former CP Mr Austin Iwar who has been redeployed to Bayelsa State command.
“Abdulrahaman hails from Kirfi Local Government area of Bauchi State, he was enlisted into the force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on March 3, 1990 and trained at Police College, Kaduna.
Yakubu said the new CP holds B.Sc (Hon) Political Science and Administration, Usman Danfodio University Sokoto in 1988,
He also holds Master’s Degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, masters degree in Criminal Justice, Kaduna State University.
He said the CP served in various capacities including Public Relations Officer Plateau command, Chief Security officer to the late IGP Ibrahim Coomassie, Squadron Commander, Police Mobile 6 Maiduguri.
He also served as Assistant commissioner police in charge of SCIID, Ogun State, ACP Operation and Deputy Commissioner, operation Kaduna State command respectively.
“Also served in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as head of operations.
The PPRO said Abdulrahaman had attended several course home and abroad which include; Executive Leadership Development Programme 2014 DFID Justice for all Kaduna, Crime Science (Technology) Investigation Course 2012 Northern -West University Evanston, Chicago II USA ,Better Governance and Anti -Corruption Policies course 2011,organised by Civil Service college Singapore among others.
Yakubu said until his appointment as CP Kaduna state command, he served briefly as CP Ekiti and Bayelsa command respectively, he is happily married with children.
