The Kebbi State Government has given automatic employment to 45 new medical doctors of the state who graduated from university recently.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State gave the indication in Birnin Kebbi at a dinner hosted in their honor by his wife, Dr.Zainab Atiku Bagudu at the weekend. At the dinner which was organised to honor Dr. Asmau Nurudeen Belko who passed out as the best medical graduate from UDUS and 44 others from Sudan and India, governor Bagudu reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining provision of enabling environment to all indigines of the state to study anywhere in the world.
Bagudu expressed delight with the performance of the medical doctors which he said will greatly boost the health system in Kebbi.
In her remarks, wife of the governor, Dr.Zainab Bagudu commended the Kebbi government for placing premium on quality health care services. She announced that the government would provide support to the best medical graduate,Dr. Asmau Nurudeen to pursue her residency program in any institution of her choice.
On his part, the commissioner for Health, Alhaji Umar Kambaza commended the state government for providing support and facilitating the studies of the medical graduates up to completion .
Also , the state chairman of Nigeria Medical Association, Dr.Haruna Musa thanked the governor for prompt payment of tuition fees and scholarship to medical students and used the occasion to give an award to the governor for being healthcare friendly .
