‘Gombe Guber: I’ve Wealth Of Experience To Serve’

A gubernatorial aspirant and commissioner of Finance and Economic Development in Gombe State, Alhaji Mohammed Hassan  has given insight on how he intend to govern the state if elected, saying that he joined politics to put his wealth of experience in service to humanity.

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spoke in Gombe, yesterday at a media chat with members of the state correspondents chapel.

He assured his supporters and people of the state that he his aspiring to move to the state’s Government House to continue with the good legacies of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo for the progress and development of the state.

According to him, the present administration has achieved a lot in the areas of human capacity and infrastructural development. He promised to build on the existing legacies, while adding more values to governance.

Hassan who said he is one of the leading pillars in the successes recorded by the present administration, noted that he is the most qualified among all the aspirants to lead the state, having successfully managed the state’s resources in the last seven years without hitches.

He said the financial prudence of the state government as well as the economic team is the reason for the economic success of the state, adding that they were able to block all leakages.

“When you add this to my wide experience in management and understanding of the positive impact of good governance in the development of Gombe State, I will deem it a crime against the good people of Gombe State for me not to present myself to serve my people,” he said.

He explained that the N30billion bond raised by the state government had been used for the development of infrastructure across the state, which could easily be verified.

“For the past few years, Gombe has steadily improved in governance and I am certain that evidence speaks for itself,” Hassan said.

The commissioner said if elected his administration will dedicate a lot of efforts towards initiating projects aimed at improving the revenue base of the state.
