Former acting director general of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Engr Benedict Adeyinka has been appointed the new Rector of the International Aviation College (IAC), Ilorin.

Kwara State commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya who briefed newsmen of the appointment in Ilorin yesterday charged Adeyinka to reposition the college for better result.

Yahaya, while describing the new rector as a thorough bred professional said the state government hoped to see the college more functional and productive under the rector.

He explained that the rector was appointed after the expiration of the tenure of his predecessor, Captain AbdulMumini AbdulKareem. The commissioner debunked rumours that licence of operation of the college was revoked, saying the licence was only subjected to the normal auditing by the NCAA.
