A political group, President Muhammadu Buhari Continuity Network (PMBCON), has declared President Buhari re-electable in 2019, saying he has shown sincerity of purpose and should be encouraged to continue.
In his remarks during the its national stakeholders meeting in Abuja yesterday, the national BoT chairman, PMBCON, Amb. Kabiru Iliyasu, explained that besides the fact that Buhari merits a second tenure in office, PMBCON has a proven competence in organizing a winning team for him.
Iliyasu noted that the president has also performed credibly in his key campaign promises which includes, fighting corruption to a halt, combatting insecurity and revamping the nation’s economy.
He charged members of the committee to live up to its responsibilities in terms of mobilization support to restore a more prosperity and promote the cause of democracy in the country.
According to him, ‘’ Today is our chance, our time and our moment to reflect and re-dedicate ourselves to work more with all Nigerians to give our country the much desired opportunities through this viable network for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
“We must create more opportunities to our people to share their experiences. We have to be seen to be living to our responsibilities in terms of mobilization in order to restore more prosperity and promote the cause of democracy.
“PMBCON 2019 in her short span of existence has come so far and has seen so much her supporters have proven their competence in organizing a winning team, but there is much more to be done.’’
He, however, called on its members across the 36 states of the federation, including FCT, to remain steadfast every passing day to ensure that this dream did not die.
Also speaking, the national woman leader of the group, Mrs. Maureen Okoro,
called on women in the country to massively vote for President Buhari in the forthcoming election.
She assured that the women wing will adequately mobilize support for the President reelection.
