The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has disbursed N500,000 to some young Nigerians who graduated from the UNESCO ‘Tap Project 2018’.
The loan was presented to the beneficiaries by the Senior Special Assistance to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princes Adejoke Orelokpe, yesterday in Abuja at the one year celebration of the UNESCO Tap Project 2018 THEME: Informal developmental programmes key to reducing unemployment
Princes Adejoke said the UNESCO Tap Project is the programme that would help to build Nigerian youths both in leadership capacity, economic capacity, self management and intellectual capacity.
She charged youths to take advantage of the programme and acquire the necessary skills that would help to build them up in the future noting “ even if you want to join politics, there are things you need to know which is leadership capacity skills.
She further urged the entire body of UNESCO Tap Project not to be selfish in engaging the less-privileges that is those that are not from the way to the families into the programme.
In the same vain, The Manager/ CEO, BFL Micro finance Bank, Olufunmilayo Ajayi Amurega said BFL Micro Finance Bank is one of Micro Finance Bank that contributes its quota towards the decent growth of the Nigeria economic.
Also speaking on the development, the president, UNESCO Tap Project, Lodigbolu Abdusalami said that the development of any societies depends on how you nurture the young both boys and girls saying the intellectual capacity is also one of the things that impose development to the societies as well as leadership capacity building and economic capacity which is by virtues can creats more opportunities.
Some of the beneficiaries included Bar. Jamilu, Marylyn Mohammed, Ilesanmi Bukumi Miracle, Ilesanmi Mary Oluwatosin, Ayegboka Caleb, and Odioh William.
