Embrace Peace, Tolerance, Muazu Urges Nigerians

A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Alhaji Habu Muazu, Yeriman Kashere, has called on Nigerians to promote peaceful coexistence where citizens regardless of ethnic, religious, political or social status can live in harmony.

The gubernatorial hopeful in his Eid-el-Kabir message made available to newsmen in Gombe urged Nigerians to embrace the tenets of love, tolerance, forgiveness and brotherhood in accordance to the teachings of the holy books.

He said that it is only by embracing peace, unity and love that Nigerians can put the country back on the path of growth and development.

While cautioning against acts that would divide rather than unite the country, Habu Muazu, called on Nigerians to return to the values of peaceful co-existence and brotherly love.

“When peace reigns in the land, we can achieve whatever it is that we want to achieve. Infrastructural development can only be carried out in an atmosphere of peace and respect for our political and ethnic differences,” he said.

He further appealed to politicians to preach love, peace and tolerance to their supporters to enable the country witness peaceful election come 2019.

“As we celebrate this spiritual occasion, I called on politicians in the state and the nation at large, to appeal to their supporters to desist from violent acts and demonstrate the virtues of harmonious and peaceful co-existence to enable us achieve a peaceful transition”, he said.

Habu Muazu also thanked the people of Gombe for their continued support to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
