The Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) has said that Nigeria is at the crossroads and needs the prayers of all compatriots to navigate this trying time in the nation’s political process.
The party said that the need to build a strong, virile, progressive and equitable democratic society cannot be overemphasised and requires the efforts, sacrifice and patriotism of the populace.
DPC in a statement signed by its national chairman, Rev. Olusegun Peters to felicitate with Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, said the occasion is a remembrance of the submission of Prophet Ibrahim to Allah by which he taught adherents the value of sacrifice.
DPC urged Muslims to rededicate themselves to the service of Allah and the fatherland and pray for peace, unity, love, tolerance and progress of the nation ahead of the crucial 2019 general elections.
It also urged politicians to seek the interest and progress of the nation at all times and avoid overheating the polity, which could impede our hard-won democracy.
The party said that it is determined to provide progressive leadership in the country in the renewed efforts at building a better nation.
