Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido has felicitated with residents of AMAC on the occasion of Eid El Kabir, charging them to embrace peace.

In a Sallah message, Candido called on both Muslims and Christians in AMAC to pray for the country, which he said is facing challenges, as exemplified by the myriad of crisis.

“So, I charge the Muslims and non Muslims alike, to use this period to pray for this nation and by the grace of God, we will surmount these challenges and Nigeria will be back to track again.

“Nigeria needs a lot of prayers these days. We must not pretend about it. There are a lot of crisis here and there and it is only prayer that will get us out of these problems,” he said.

He commended the citizens for supporting the government and urged them continue to live according to virtues of the season.

I want to use this period to appreciate God Almighty for making us see another Eid El kabir, a season of sacrifice.

I want to also use this opportunity to appreciate the good people of this area council for being supportive and prayerful to the nation all these while.

“I would like them to continue in that spirit particularly in the spirit of sacrifice to ensure that we do exactly what the season requires us to do; tolerance, peaceful coexistence, harmonious living and of course prayer to the nation and to the leaders of the country.”
