The president, Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Dr Gbenga Falope Jrn has joined other Nigerians, both home and abroad, to condemn the demolition of handicapped gospel artiste, Yinka Ayefele’s Music House in Ibadan by the Ajimobi-led Oyo State government, calling it wicked and inhuman. In a statement addressed to LEADERSHIP Friday and signed by the president, it said the demolition of Yinka Ayefele’s Music House in Ibadan by the Ajimobi is indeed inhuman and unjust, no matter the volume of offence. It reads: “There could have been a better way to handle it rather than putting this young man, who has indeed contributed immensely to the growth of music and the entertainment industry at large, in such delusion. This wicked act is unacceptable, and we condemn it in totality. “Be it as it may, I urge the Oyo State government to, as a matter of urgency, compensate Ayefele with immediate effect to get him back on track such that he could continue with his good job of taking talented youths off the street via his vast initiative that has contributed a lot to nation building, especially in the world of arts. “Nigerian musicians should come out enmasse to protest against this injustice done to one of our own. We shall continue to speak out until justice is done,” he concluded.
