Clashes: Kaduna Extends Kwaru-Ungwan Yero Curfew

The Kaduna State government, yesterday, declared an indefinite 24-hour curfew on the feuding communities in Kwaru and Ungwan Yero.

A statement issued by governor Nasir el-Rufai’s spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan, said government   extends the 7am to 7pm curfew earlier imposed on the neighboring communities in Kaduna North local government area.

The statement explained, “The decision was taken after review of the security situation in the communities. Residents of the two communities are enjoined  to comply with the directives, as security agencies have been directed to vigorously enforce the curfew.”
