Group Drums Support For Atiku

Atiku Abubakar

The National Coordinator, Atiku Mobilization Front (AMF), Hon. Sylvia Shine Eni at the weekend said his group has their weight behind the presidential ambition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar , urging  all other presidential aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support him.

Eni while speaking with LEADERSHIP affirmed that all the presidential aspirants vying for PDP ticket have their respective qualities, but it is only one that will contest against the incumbent President. While describing all the aspirants and their leadership qualities she said they were all a great blessing for the Peoples Democratic Party.

For Amin Tambuwal, she said despite been a governor and a former Speaker of the Federal House of Representative, he may not spark the fire to match the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

‘’ In the case of the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Dankwambo he is an intelligent man with massive projects done his administration in Gombe State, he would be too fragile to run for 2019 Presidential challenge which is a race against the incumbent.’’  For the duo of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and Alhaji Sule Lamido, she said they have their supporters in the core North West and North East; yet might not be able to confront the ruling party.

‘’ For the Senate President, since he is yet to openly declare his intention, we believe him to be very vulnerable most especially in the far North. Also, he is more or less a controversial political with all manners of allegations labelled on him. And such might not be the rightful product for this time. Senator Markarfi is seen to be a hero, he actually did his best in 2007, but yet momentum is not with him to match Buhari,’’.

Giving reason why they needs to step down, she said Atiku sponsored a major part of Buhari’s campaign that gave him the victory to Aso Rock in 2015. “For PDP to win in 2019, Atiku Abubakar is the only one that can give Buhari and APC a real contest with an assurance of victory for the party, “she said.
