NDA Pledges Sustained Partnership With LEADERSHIP Newspapers



The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), yesterday promised to partner with LEADERSHIP Newspapers group limited in her activities requiring media collaborations.

The commandant of the academy, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade gave the assurance when he received on courtesy visit, team of the advertorial department of the company led by the advert director, Winifred Ogbebo at the NDA permanent site along airport road, Kaduna.

According to the commandant who was represented by the deputy commandant of the academy, Air Vice Marshal Idi Amin, he said information is key in advancing any society in all ramifications.

He stressed that any society not properly informed stands the risk of believing all forms of rumours, some positive but mostly negative.

General Oyebade said, as an academic institution, the partnership being sought by LEADERSHIP was a welcomed one and that the academy has no objections whatsoever.

He emphasised while acknowledging that LEADERSHIP Newspapers is one of the forefront widely read papers in the country, that the institutions had always invited LEADERSHIP media crew to cover her activities and will not hesitate to continue in that light, and strengthen it in other areas where possible.

He informed that, from the middle of September, the academy will commence activities leading to the passing out parade of the 65 regular cadet on the 6th October where President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to be in attendance as reviewing officer.

Earlier, the LEADERSHIP advert director congratulated the commandant who until his appointment as the NDA Commandant was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 divisional army headquarters, Kaduna.

She stressed that the appointment of General Oyebade was a testimony of his giant strides as GOC and urged him to sustain the good work.

On the courtesy visit, she said “Our visit today is to further strengthen the relationship that exist between the company and the academic institution, and further see to how it can further be strengthened and sustained.

“Our reporters have being doing their best in terms of covering your activities over the years, but we have never been considered for your advertorials when the need arises, this visit is to also see to it on possibility of bridging that gap going forward.

“As a company, we will be open to discussions on how the area of advertorials from these institutions can be achieved,” she emphasised.

On the entourage of the advert director were the head of Special Projects, Abubakar Momoh, Kaduna State Correspondent, Isaiah Benjamin, Kaduna LEADERSHIP photographer Gbenga Abiola Folorunsho and the state advert executive, Richard Okpere.
