A former chairman of Kuje area council, Hon. Danladi Etsu Zhin, has declared his intention to contest for House of Representative for Abuja South Federal Constituency, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Zhin, who made the declaration at the APC secretariat in Abaji, Kwali and Gwagwalada area councils, gave an asry requirement for the development of any society.
“I want to come and serve my people in this constituency and not to make promises that are not realistic. The turn out today and the comments by the party officials really show that the people have confidence in my emergence. Politics is not about money or highest level of education but commitment to the people you are willing to serve.”
He commended the national assembly for approving INEC budget for the 2019 general elections, adding that it was timely and for the interest of democracy.
The former council chairman however, called on the electorates to collect their permanent voter cards (PVCs) and vote credible leaders in the 2019 general elections, just as he called on youths across the country to shun any form of violence and to avoid politicians who might want to use them as thugs towards the general elections.
“Peace is priceless, and there is need for the youths to stay clear of violence and contribute to the development of the country. I call on the youths to shun any form of violence that could divide the country but rather engage on productive activities to better their future. Discipline and cultural diplomacy should be the watchwords for youths in the country.”
