An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship contender in Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Mera, has hailed the party’s national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for introducing direct primary to elect the party’s flag bearer in next year’s governorship election in the state, saying that it will sustain the confidence of supporters as well as promote justice, equity and fairness in the party. The governorship aspirant stated this in a letter dated August 28, 2918 to the party’s national chairman, noting that the decision of the party’s hierarchy has gone a long way in inspiring renewed hope and trust in the capacity and determination of the party’s national leadership to forge common ties of unity and cohesion among party members across the country. Alhaji Ibrahim Mera is the Ciroma Kebbi (Argungu) and was a former deputy comptroller-general of Customs (DCG) before he voluntarily retired about two years ago to become the Chairman of Mera Farms, an international agro allied company with business interests and partners in Africa, Asia, America, Europe and the Middle East. Also yesterday at the official opening of his campaign offices in Birnin Kebbi and Argungu in the state, he assured his supporters of the sincerity and determination of the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole led leadership to make the APC as the people’s true national party.
