Governor of Gombe State and presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo, yesterday appealed to the leadership of the party to come up with a template that will lead to the emergence of a credible candidate at the party’s presidential primary.Dankwambo, who spoke in Benin City, the Edo State capital, while on a tour to meet delegates ahead of the party’s primaries said such template would serve as a guide to members in order for them to make the right choice.

While also commending the national leadership of the party and other leaders for working hard in ensuring that those who had left the party are now coming back, he noted that PDP is the only party that has trained people for leadership positions. He said that what is important right now is a leader with foresight that can harness the resource of the country for national development adding that he has all the required experiences to steer the ship of the nation if given the opportunity.

He said: “A template should be developed by the people. A template that will serve as a guide to our members to be able to choose that person that we will present as alternative to Nigerians.”
Edo State chairman of the PDP, Dan Orbih who received Dankwambo’s entourage expressed joy that the party parades array of qualified aspirants that can unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2019.
