Having picked up his nomination form to contest the nation’s presidency come 2019, Sokoto State governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has said that his motivation is genuine service.
Tambuwal, who expressed optimism of emerging as Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential flag bearer, said his antecedents are better credentials to warrant support of the delegates.
The immediate past Speaker of House of Representatives and governor of Sokoto State, added that he has all it takes to become Nigeria’s president come 2019.
“Going by my antecedents, PDP delegates would find in me, a suitable candidate to fly its presidential flag. My mission of entering the presidential race is nothing but service to Nigeria.”
Tambuwal divulged that his vision is to ensure that Nigerians have a well secured, buoyant and very stable polity. He also hammered on his blue print of advancing the education sector which he said would be beneficial to all the youths of the nation.
The presidential aspirant said his experience in Sokoto State, which is one of the educationally disadvantage states, would no doubt, assist him in charting a way forward for the development of education in the country.
Tambuwal noted that since the inception of his administration, he has made adequate budgetary provision for the education sector in addition to the promulgation of enabling laws to facilitate the development of education in the state.
The 2019 PDP presidential aspirant equally debunked insinuations that he will quit PDP, if he does not emerge the flag bearer, saying he will rather stay back in the party to work alongside others, for the victory of the party.
