Guber Race: 2019 Is Walk-Over For Wike – Group

Rivers State Governor, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike

A political pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, the Forward Rivers Movement (FRM), has declared that the 2019 governorship election in the state is a walk-over for Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

FRM, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday by its Coordinator, Kennedy West, lauded Wike for accepting the clarion call on him by youths and entire people of the state to seek for a second term in office come 2019.

The group stated that the people of the state have absolute on the governor for transforming the state and positioning it on the path of industrialization.

The statement reads in part: “We commend Governor Nyesom Wike for accepting the clarion call of the youths and entire good people of Rivers State to pilot the affairs of the State for another four years from 2019.

“Rivers people are excited about the cheering news. We are thanking the governor for giving the youths the honour and privilege to have a first hand information.

“The good people of Rivers State has absolute confidence on the Governor who is transforming the State and reposition her on the path of industrialization.

“As Forward Rivers Movement, we are partnering with other group to land slide victory for the re election of Governor Wike and other PDP aspirants come 2019.

“The governor has a better people oriented projects and programmes to catapult the state. We don’t see any party or aspirants giving Governor Wike nor the ruling PDP any stress at the pools.

“The governor enjoys the support of the masses, he knows the socio-economic challenges of the citizens and understands how to address them.

“Presently, serious infrastructural advancement has been recorded in most of the sectors, health, education, road, tourism, sports, judiciary, security etc. All we can say is Rivers State, no vacancy. We have a lot to achieve from the Wike-led government, hence, no looking bad.”
