Kaduna Speaker, Honourable Aminu Shagali

The Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Shagali has said that his decision to seek for the House of Representatives was the outcome of consultations and demand by the people of his constituency.

Shagali who disclosed this at the weekend in Samaru, Zaria where he made his decision to seek for Federal House of Representative position for Zaria Federal constituency.

Aminu said, “I have no intention to contest but my people called on him and I have to answer their call as there could be something they want me to do for them, one has to be patient in following his electorates.

“As the first person from my constituency to serve as the speaker of the Kaduna Assembly, I thought if I contest for a higher position I will be able to do more for my people.”

“My major interest in life is to always support people and do good for them, this compelled me to accept the call of my electorates when they came to me wanting me to contest, and I pray that whoever will be of great benefit to our people wins as I am not saying the one on seat now has not done as expected.

“The most important thing for me is to see that people in power always have the interest of the masses at heart.”

Shagali added that if elected, he will support the president in doing the right thing both at the national and state level. Adding that making promises is not part of his politicking as he always does the right thing at the right time and he will definitely represent his constituents well.

He called on citizens of the state to support vote for President Buhari come 2019 for continuity. And also to the people of his constituency to come out and vote wisely as politics is not a do or die affair.
