In a swift reaction to debunk rumours making the rounds, director-general, Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau Cross River State, Barr Alphonsus Ogar Eba has said he is not running for any elective office in 2019.
Ogar Eba, who is a strong supporter of Governor Ben Ayade, also termed as false the rumour that he has purchased the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives nomination form.
The grassroots politician stated this in a statement her personally signed and published on his Facebook wall, where he revealed that he has been under intense pressure to run election.
According to him, he want to work with all stakeholders to ensure the success of our dear Governor H.E. Sen Prof Ayade and all other candidates under the platform of PDP.
His post reads in part, “My dear people of Cross River State and Nigeria at large, I want to Once again appreciate all whom have encouraged and wished that I seek elective office in 2019.
“I have been in the last 24 hours been inundated with pressure to run election but I beg for everyone ‘s understanding in this regard.
“I want to also state unequivocally that there is no iota of truth in the strong rumour that i have purchased form for House of Representatives. I AM NOT RUNNING ANY ELECTION IN 2019.
“I want to work with all stakeholders to ensure the success of our dear Governor H.E. Sen Prof Ayade and all other candidates under the platform of PDP.
“I regret the inconveniences this decision may have caused anybody’s political permutations. Thanks for your support always.”
