The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it has registered no fewer than 242,545 in the recent extended continued voters registration exercise which ended last week August 31, Sokoto State resident electoral commissioner, Sadiq Musa disclosed yesterday.
He further said that 25,105 voters also applied for reissuance of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) while 6,475 applied for intra and interstate transfer in the state.
Musa who noted that the exercise so far till its end has been a huge success in the state added that INEC enjoyed maximum cooperation from all stakeholders.
The REC who said they will begin to display voters list at INEC in every local government area starting from 4th of September 2018, further appeal to voters to promptly report any anomalies discovered to facilitate prompt correction.
