Also, the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido has urged politicians, particularly delegates to eschew money politics in the interest of the nation.

Addressing APC ward executive members in Orozo community yesterday, Candido noted that the era of waiting for the highest bidder, who may not mean well for the country, was over, adding that aspirants with genuine ambitions should be voted.

“I want to discourage people, particularly the politicians through delegates, not to be carried away by money politics or collecting little pea nuts before voting. We have seen it and it is not going to speak well for this country.

Sometimes,  you wait for the highest bidder and then you make a wrong choice and this wrong choice can only be corrected after four years, but before the four years, not four days, the people will suffer,” he said.

The chairman also disclosed that he has cleared debts of over N500m and promised not to over burden the council with debts upon the expiration of his tenure.
