A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Dr Sam Skebrah Bulus Timothy, has said that the current administration is making impacts on the lives of ordinary Nigerians, who were neglected by the previous government.

‎Timothy, who is a staunch promoter of President Muammadu Buhari in Taraba State, spoke when he received ‎an Honourary Doctorate Degree from ‎Petrus Fidei University in Lanexa, Virginia, United States.
He said the social investment programmes of the Buhari administration are antidotes to poverty and bridging the wide gap between the rich and poor Nigerians, who constitute the larger population of the country.

A statement by his office in Nigeria quoted Timothy, ‎who is also a Peace Ambassador for Good Governance, as saying that this was the first time in the history of Nigeria that our economy is adjusting to the reality of meeting the needs of ordinary Nigerians.

“Government programmes under President Buhari have shown the level corruption has deprived ordinary Nigerians the dividends of democracy. For the first time, we see what a people-centered government should look like. How resources should be used for the ordinary people, President Buhari has shown that Africa can walk out of poverty if resources are channelled appropriately to the people,” he said.

The representative of the vice chancellor, ‎Petrus Fidei University in Lanexa, Virginia, USA, Archbishop Sunday Uahomo in his speech, described Dr. Timothy as a versatile and hardworking accounting professional with extensive experience in academic and administration in the United Kingdom (UK) and Nigeria.
