A presidential aspirant under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Prof Iorwuese Hagher, has stated that the country needs an experienced leader with vision to move the nation forward. Hagher a former Nigeria Ambassador to Canada stated this yesterday in Abuja while declaring his intention to contest for the 2019 presidential election.
The presidential hopeful said he decided to vie for the number one office in the country to instigate a revolution of conscience and moral rebirth that will transform the country after many decades of impoverishment. The former university don insisted that Nigeria’s problem is beyond restructuring has being clamoured by many, arguing that it will require a revolution to address what he described as impunity and imbalance in the Nigerian federation. Prof Hagher who decried the decay in the country’s infrastructure and educational sector, vowed to make education his priority.“There is a colossal failure of leadership of this country, my one agenda is to make Nigeria great, I will vote 26 per cent or more to education, we will give the youths the right education to compete anywhere in the world. “I am going beyond restructuring, what we need is a revolution, i am instigating revolution of consciousness , many people have given up hope and we need to restore hope to Nigerians.”
