A Yola High court presided by Justice Abdulaziz Waziri, has dismissed a suit filed by some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), demanding the cancellation of word, local government and state congresses of the party in Adamawa State.
The suit which has Dimas Ezra and three others as plaintiffs’ prayed for nullification of APC congresses, conducted by the chairman of the party Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal and others as defendant in the suit.
Delivering judgement, Justice Abdulazeez Waziri, dismissed all the motion submitted before the court, for lack of evidences by the plaintiffs .
Waziri said the plaintiffs after purchasing the congresses forms in bulk, from the defendant refused to return completed form and boycotted participation in the congress which contradicts constitution of the party.
Reacting to the judgement, one of the plaintiffs Usman Ibrahim said they may consider appealing the judgement if the need arises.
Ibrahim noted that, the outcome of their consultation would be made known to the public at the appropriate time.
Ahmad Lawal, public secretary of APC in the state, lauded the judgement adding that justice has taken its course in the suit.
