Support For Buhari’s Re-election In National Interest  – Hon Amodu

The National Chairman of The Nigerian Mass Movement for Buhari, Hon. Amodu Emmanuel, has cleared the air on why the movement is staunchly in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election in 2019.
Speaking with newsmen, yesterday, in Abuja, after the National Executive Committee meeting of the movement, Hon. Amodu emphasised that the movement’s decision to stand with Buhari and mobilize for his re-election in 2019 was in the overall interest of our Nigeria.
In his word:”Never in the history of our country have we had it so good as we presently witness under the President Buhari government, which came into office at a time the nation’s polity was already decisively fragmented, the economy left in shambles and the security situation dangerously frightening.”
He commended the President for demonstrating uncommon political courage in his handling of the fight against corruption in the country and redirecting the nation’s path towards sustainable socio-economic growth and development.
He further stated that corruption has remained the root cause of the nation’s diverse problems. He condemned those who have chosen to constitute themselves as the opposition elements working against the laudable efforts of the President as the real enemies of the country, who have sworn to ensure that the country remain underdeveloped and Nigerians perpetually impoverished.
Hon. Amodu explained that: “It is not unexpected that some self styled political leaders across the country have chosen to work against the President’s re-election bid because of the fear that with Buhari’s continued stay in office beyond 2019, many would go into political oblivion.”
He described Buhari as an unblemished and visionary political leader, who can never be intimidated into abandoning his position of championing the course of common Nigerians.
According to movement’s National Chairman, those who are working against Buhari are the people whose conduits, through which they have been siphoning our common wealth have been cut off, and have as such find it difficult to continue to exploit the country for their selfish personal interest.
He appealed to Nigerians of good conscience to be watchful and wary of the set politicians, whose interest is never to serve for the common good of the people and promote the course of genuine development of our country, but to continue to exploit and impoverish the citizenry.
