A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, Senator Bayero Nafada, said he is not afraid of any of the aspirant contesting under the platform of the party, despite rejoining the party some few months ago after several years of political sojourn in the All Progressives  Congress (APC).

Nafada told newsmen after submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms to the party in Gombe that the party has assured all contestants of a level playing field adding that he stands a better chance of clinching the PDP ticket considering his political credentials and the support he enjoys in the state.

He said he has all it takes to be governor of the state considering that he had served as speaker of the state assembly, deputy speaker of the National Assembly and now senator of the federal republic. He added that he is the aspirant to beat and take over the mantle of continuity in the state.

“As a deputy speaker of the National Assembly I was the number six citizen of the country, among all the aspirants I am the only individual with a number and I have the richest political credentials and experience as such why should I be afraid of any candidate or failing, I am not thinking of failing but winning.” He said.

He said if elected governor of the state, he would consolidate on the issue of workers salaries tackle the problem of agriculture by concentrating on irrigation farming to help provide opportunities for the people to be self reliant.
