The Nigeria Coalition Ambassadors Network NCAN) has said it is making frantic efforts to raise about N1 Billion to finance President Muhammadu Buhari primaries.
The Director General of the coordinating organization, Chris Kohol Look who disclosed this to Journalists said the crowd funding campaign is initiated by good & patriotic Nigerians to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari’s personality and sterling leadership achievements.
He said many Nigerians and groups had jostled to obtain the Presidential Nomination Form and Expression of Interest Form for President Muhammadu Buhari but NCAN got the rare privilege.
According to him, the crowd fundraising target of One Billion Naira is tagged “Nigerians Fund PMB 2019 Primaries” and is to be coordinated by Buhari 2019 Door to Door Ambassadors.
The group in their official statement issued by the coordinating organization also explained that the funds raising will start from Monday 10th September, 2018, by 10am and end on Monday 17th September, 2018, by 7:00pm.
He said the channels of the crowd funding includes online payment, bank transfers/deposits and short code SMS.
The Director General of Buhari 2019 Door to Door Ambassadors, Chris Kohol, disclosed that the crowd fundraising exercise will be highly transparent as Economic & Financial Crime Commission (EFFC), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization 2019 and Buhari Support Organizations (BSO) have been notified of the crowd funding exercise .
He added that they have been invited to monitor and audit the One Billion Naira crowd funding project for President Muhammadu Buhari, making it highly transparent and the first of its kind in Nigeria.
