A 10-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was allegedly assaulted at a school in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Wattawa Heights Public School in Bankstown just after midday after reports a boy had been injured.
He was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Details of the alleged assault are not known and police have not made any arrests.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene and inquiries are continuing,” NSW Police told 9NEWS in a statement.
