Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency MD Shameem Ahsan has called for partnership and support with the LEADERSHIP newspapers. Mr Ahsan said, the embassy was soliciting for partnership with LEADERSHIP because of the pivotal role it is playing in the media industry.
Ahsa gave this position, Tuesday, in Abuja, when he paid a courtesy visit on the corporate headquarters of LEADERSHIP newspapers.
The envoy was received by the Chief Operating Officer of LEADERSHIP newspapers, Bamidele Fanimo and some Management staff of the newspaper outfit.
While intimating his host on the purpose of his visit, Ahsan said, “My visit to LEADERSHIP newspapers headquarter office is to explore areas of partnership because of the indispensable role of the media, and my job as an envoy to project my country.
According to him, Bangladesh is a small country but high in population. In global ranking, Bangladesh is third in the production of vegetables and fourth in producing fresh water fish. Bangladesh is also seventh in the production of mangoes.
He added that Bangladesh is sufficient in food production to the extent that it has enough for export.
Responding, the COO, Mr Bamidele told the High Commissioner that his organisation will exchange visits towards a better understanding of their respective relation and the interactions have been very positive.
He thanked his guests for the visit and assured them of fruitful partnership. He urged the High Commissioner to patronise the company by advertising in the paper.
