House of Representatives member and the sponsor of the bill; “Not too young to run” Hon. Tony Nwulu, has purchased the nomination form to contest for the office of the governor of Imo State on the platform of the United Progressive Party (UPP) and vowed to end poverty in Imo State.
The chairman of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Chief Chekwas Okorie presented the nomination form to Hon. Tony Nwulu during a media briefing yesterday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Presenting the forms to the federal lawmaker, Chief Chekwas Okorie said that the journey to end hardship in Imo State in the 2019 general elections has started. He noted that Tony Nwulu is the first among the governorship aspirants in Imo State under UPP to pick the nomination form.
According to him, “This is to inform you that Tony Nwulu has picked the official nomination form to contest for the Imo State 2019 governorship election under the UPP.”
In his remarks after picking the nomination form, Hon. Tony Nwulu reaffirmed his commitment towards a better and more organised Imo State where the Rule of Law will reign supreme, while quality infrastructures would be provided and employment given to the people.
He urged Imo State masses and the electorate to remain patient adding that the “days of bad leadership, recklessness and deceit are almost behind us.”
The gubernatorial aspirant vowed to end poverty and provide opportunities to the people of Imo State and take the state to higher heights.
