NANS Confers Excellence Award On Ekiti APC Chieftain

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has conferred an award of excellence on Ekiti All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr Olusegun Ayodele Osinkolu for his role at ensuring that peace continues to thrive in the country.

Director of Gender, NANS, Idris Asmakiu Omeiza said the decision to honour him with an award of excellence was reached by the association after Osinkolu’s relentless efforts in giving support to the students and the entire society.

In his remarks, Osinkolu thanked the Students for honouring him with an award of excellence, urging them to continue to strive to surmount academic challenges.

Speaking with journalists after the award, Osinkolu who is the brother of Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose said he is well prepared to run for  Ekiti north senatorial seat in 2019.

Osinkolu who has been pursuing the Senatorial ticket for the past 8 years also said he has been denied for just no cause.

He said: “I’m quit prepared because it is not the first time I’m contesting. This is actually my third time so it is not meeting me unexpected, it’s something that has been planned for and to the best of my ability, I will say I’m quit prepared.

“I’m not a politician, I’m a technocrat who came into politics and I have to learn through the rope. The first time I was disqualified on the day of election, there was no reason for the disqualification but I didn’t stop because of that. ”
