A man is undergoing emergency surgery after having four of his fingers sliced off by a samurai sword.
Police said two men got into an argument at Aspley Acres Caravan Park in Brisbane’s north overnight before one of the men pulled out the one-metre sword.
A 45-year-old man was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, losing four fingers and part of his thumb around 8.20pm.
A 40-year-old was arrested at the scene on Gympie Road.
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm and remains behind bars due to face the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
It’s unclear if the men were known to each other or what sparked the attack.
A woman who was inside a caravan at the time of the attack told 9NEWS she thought it may have been over power tool.s
The park is notorious as one of the most dangerous places in Brisbane, a hotbed of bashings, robberies and stabbings that is the scene of frequent police raids.
