Oluwo, IWAC Endorse Adeoti For Osun Guber

The Oluwo of Iwo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, yesterday prayed for the victory of the Action Democratic Party’s, ADP, candidate in Saturday governorship election in Osun State, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti.

This is just as a socio cuotural group in the ancient town of Iwo, the Iwo Action Council (IWAC) the umbrella body of all socio-elites clubs in Iwo, with over 200 clubs as members, has joined several other eminent social groups in Osun State to endorse Adeoti for the exalted seat.

In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Monarch, Ali Ibraheem, Oba Akanbi described Adeoti as a pride to Iwoland, wishing him success in the gubernatorial contest.

The IWAC endorsement came in a  statement made available to newsmen by the Chairman of the committee set up for the actualisation of Iwolokan Agenda, Mr Kabiru Adisa, who explained that the council reached the consensus on Adeoti as members were convinced of his passion to turnaround the fortunes of the state, echoing the optimism of the people that he is the best man to move the state forward.

IWAC said that Adeoti remained the most credible candidate in the race, whose acceptability among the electorate cannot be matched by either the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, or other opposition parties, cautioning Osun people not to fall for the deceits of selfish politicians.

While pledging total support towards the actualisation of Adeoti’s ambition, IWAC noted that it would activate its structures in Iwo as well as reach out to its contacts in the state to work and ensure his emergence as the next governor of the state.
