The Zonal Coordinator, Buhari Campaign Organization Dr. Abiso Kabir, has said that efforts are in top gear to ensure that in 2019 President Muhammadu Buhari gets 80 to 90 per cent of total votes cast during the presidential election in the northeast,
Kabir who also stated that the president remained the only credible choice ahead of the elections, urged the electorate to vote for continuity in order to consolidate on the ongoing changes that would set the Northeast and Nigeria at large on the path of progress.
Speaking in a media chat with journalist in Maiduguri, Kabir added that President Buhari deserved a second term considering the many achievements recorded by his administration.
“President Buhari has proved beyond reasonable doubt to be honest, sincere and committed to the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians irrespective of political, tribal and religious differences.
“in the more than three years of the APC administration, Buhari has shown leadership style that Nigerians and the people of Northeast were proud of.
“Commissioning of North East development and intervention body, Saving of over 2 Trillion Naira through the Treasury Single Account TSA, The Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) of the Central Bank of Nigeria has made available N82 billion in funding to 350,000 farmers of Rice, Wheat, Maize, Cotton, Cassava, Poultry, Soy Beans and Groundnut; who have cultivated about 400,000 hectares of land.
“The Social Safety Net, the largest programme in the history of Nigeria and N-Power employed 500,000 of youths and paid them N30,000 each as monthly allowance.
“Fourteen (14) moribund Blending Plants revitalized so far under the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative (PFI); with a total capacity of 2.3 million MT of NPK fertilizer
