Egypt Set To Host World Youth Forum

The Arab Republic of Egypt is set to host second World Youth Forum (WYF) a platform built by promising youth to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and progress to the entire world.

The initiative was endorsed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian government who launched the first WYF held on fourth to 10 November 2017.

A statement made available to LEADERSHIP signed by the Amb. of Egypt to Nigeria, Elseify Hanaffi said the forum is an initiative that was first organised by a group of young Egyptians during the National Youth Conference on 24 July 2017 as a means to engage and dialogue with youth around the world.

Amb. Hanaffi said this year WYF agenda will focus on three distinct pillars, namely peace, development and creativity with the theme: “The Role of World Leaders in Building and Sustaining Peace”

The envoy said international youth leadership figures, influential youth models in various fields, prominent international figures and youth groups will all be in attendance during this special event.

The statement reads in part: ‘’Egypt will host the second World Youth Forum (WYF) from the 3rd to the 6th of November 2018 in Sharm El Sheikh.

‘’The forum is a platform built by promising youths to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and progress to the entire world.

‘’It engages youth from around the glove in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision makers and influential figures. The forum represents a chance to engage with policy makers and network with promising youth from the region and the world.’’

Other sub teams of the event includes: “Resurrecting Communities Post-Conflict” ‘’Water Security in the Wake of Climate Change” “The Rapid Changes in the Energy Map: What’s Powering the World?’’, “Employment Opportunities in the Age”, and “Entrepreneurs and Innovative Startups Role in Economic Growth”.
