The Young Democratic party (YDP), yesterday, screened most of its aspirants, presidential, senators, House of Representatives, governorships and states assembly ahead of the party’s primaries where its 2019 presidential candidate would emerge at the Power Mike apartment, Area 1, Abuja.
Speaking with our correspondent during the screening exercise, the national chairman of the party, Barr Aye Georgina Dakpokpo, said that their party is very prepared for next year’s general elections adding, “We will be victorious by the grace of God Almighty.
Barr Aye also boasted that the YDP is battle-ready to win more states in the all-geopolitical zones considering the acceptability of the party in all regions due to what she described as the failure of the past leaders.
She expressed optimism that the YDP would spring tremendous electoral surprises in Nigeria.
The chairman said the YDP would base its administration in the areas of education, agriculture and prompt payment of workers’ salaries, assuring that the administration has plans to do more for the people of Nigeria.
On the screening exercise, she commended the aspirants for doing a good and thorough job declaring that it is a transparent exercise in line with the guidelines of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
