Aircraft Accident Victim Moved To Maitama General Hospital

A 15-year-old girl, Miss Elizabeth Elijah, who was hit by the crashed military aircraft jet last Friday, has been moved to the Maitama General Hospital, where she is being attended to by a team of medical experts.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the girl had sustained serious injuries on one of her legs, after being hit by the crashed military jet when she was working on her father’s farm when the incident occurred.

She was rushed to a Primary Health Care Centre, Jikoko in Bwari area council, where she was given a first aid treatment and was discharged, largely because of an industrial action then by the labour union.

Her mother, Mrs. Victoria Elijah told newsmen that her father is poor farmer and could not afford the long list of drugs prescribed for her in the primary health care centre.

Worried by this, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello yesterday directed the acting secretary, Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS), Dr Aminu Mai to ensure that Miss Elizabeth is comprehensively treated.

The minister directive concerning the girl, our reporter gathered, was borne out of his desire to ensure that she get proper treatment and restored to full health.

Recall that the Friday’s crash of the military aircrafts claimed the life of one of the pilot who has since been buried.
