FAAN Rebrands SERVICOM, Hails Airport Customers

In celebration of the 2018 Customer Service Week, the Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM) department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) yesterday embarked on a road walk to appreciate its numerous customers across all the airports in the country.

The road walk with the theme: “Excellence Happens Here” was held simultaneously at all airports managed by FAAN on Tuesday to show their unalloyed commitment to their customers in the areas of service delivery.

The train of SERVICOM officers at the Lagos airport clad in SERVICOM T-shirts and fez caps moved from the FAAN headquarters to the FAAN Human Resources building, the Medical Center to the General Aviation Terminal 1 (GAT) and along the airport road to the International airport where the train terminated.

They were received on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) by the Airport Manager, Mrs. Victoria Shinaba who later joined in the walk.

In a chat with the general manager, SERVICOM, Mrs. Ebele Okoye, she said the essence of this year’s celebration was different because they would be unveiling the new face of SERVICOM in all airports.

The new face Okoye explained, would be a new dress code for SERVICOM officers to distinguish them from other FAAN staff.    “I salute Engr. Saleh Dunoma who has approved the making of new dresses, jackets with caps and the ID cards. When they dress up, the men will be on their  ties and the ladies in caps. As soon as you enter any airport tomorrow, you will be able to identify who a customer service officer is”.

Noting that the dress code would not be ceremonial but to be worn five days a week, Mrs Okoye added “we are planning to have a jean that will be worn and a T-shirt that will be worn only on Friday but from Monday till Thursday, you are going to see our people in jackets, the trousers and the cap to fit and the tie to go with it”.
