Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presidential contender and governor of Sokoto state,Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has promised to facilitate debate within the constitutional framework to restructure the nation if elected president next year. The presidential aspirant who made this known while addressing party members at the party’s secretariat in Owerri noted that the nation is passing through unprecedented economic turbulence that requires a leadership well-grounded in democratic governance and operations of the three arms of government with a firm commitment to due process and the rule of law.

Aminu said that he was constrained to join the presidential race to rescue the nation from further degeneration and to move it to the 21st century. The Sokoto state governor while bemoaning the legion of woes currently ravaging the masses in the country attributed this to lack of foresightedness and administrative acumen by those saddled with the responsibility of governance, even as he promised to reverse the ugly trend with an all-inclusive and transparent government. that would give all sections of the nation a sense of belonging if given the opportunity to serve the nation as president. He also promised to replicate the magic wands of the success story of his administration in Sokoto state at the federal level, if he achieves success at the presidential poll next year.
