Ahead of the PDP presidential primaries slated to hold on Saturday, 6th October, 2018 in Port Harcourt, the Senator David Mark Campaign Organisation has refuted speculations going around that the former President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was been pressurised into stepping down his presidential aspiration. Therefore, debunked the avowal and describing such information as mere rumour

According to Aba Ejembi, Spokesperson, Senator (Dr.) David Mark Presidential Campaign Organisation, told pressmen that, Distinguished Senator (Dr.) D.A.B Mark, GCON will by the grace of God ,through the support of distinguished delegates, become the Presidential flag bearer of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) come Sunday, the 7th day of October, 2018.

Saying that the disingenuous and ill-advised political gimmick was an admission that other aspirants stand no chance in this contest against Senator David Mark in view of his enviable and unparalleled record of public service over the years.

“We are sure all distinguished delegates remember vividly how in that very bleak period in our national history when the nation was tottering on the precipice, it was the courage and patriotism of the former Senate President, working together with his colleagues in the National Assembly who applied the ‘doctrine of necessity’, saved our democracy and prevented the nation from plunging into the abyss.

“We are sure in the campaign organization that no one can make distinguished delegates forget how for 8 years, the National Assembly, particularly the Senate remained stable, rancor free and assisted the PDP-led Federal government to deliver the dividends of democracy to the Nigerian people.

The Senator David Mark Campaign Organisation further remind the party members and distinguished delegates that the former Senate President had the experience, and all it takes to be the candidate of the party at the presidential primaries.

“Senator Mark’s commitment to the party is unquestionable. Delegates certainly, must be remembered that at the party’s very trying moments, particularly after losing the 2015 presidential elections, Senator Mark kept faith with the party and was the last man standing,”  Ejembi noted.

The Senator (Dr.) David Mark Presidential Campaign Organisation welcomes all distinguished delegates and dear party members to the Garden City, enjoins them to make the right choice by voting Senator (Dr.) David Mark, GCON, a patriot and experienced leader who has the courage to fix Nigeria.
