Senator Hope Uzodinma (Imo West) has emerged the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2019 Imo State Governorship election.
Announcing the result in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Tuesday morning, the Returning Officer of the APC Guber Primary Election in Imo State, Alhaji Ahmed Ali Gulak, said Uzodimma polled 423,895 votes to beat his closet rival, the immediate past deputy governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, who polled 128,325 votes.
Uche Nwosu, the son in-law to the Imo State governor, Anayo Rochas Okorocha, who is the governor’s anointed candidate for the governorship race, scored 10,329 votes.
