Kebbi Leader Clinches Ticket For House Of Rep

The Kebbi State House of Assembly majority  leader, Barrister Muhammad Bello Yakubu, has emerged as  winner of the primary election for the seat of Birnin-kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency under APC Party, conducted over the weekend in Birnin-kebbi.

The House of Representative primary election was conducted by committee set up by the state APC headquarters under the leadership of former Birnin-Kebbi Local government Chairman, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa and four other members.

The incumbent House of Representative Member for Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency, Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim, lost the seat.

Declaring the election result, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya, chairman of the electoral committee, said the election went smoothly with accredited 1053 delegates while seven aspirants contested in the election

“The seven aspirants are Abubakar Bello with 8 votes, Mansur  Shehu with 83 votes, Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim with 45 votes, Abdulkadir Bawa Bunza with 42 votes and then Aminu Suleiman with 0 vote””

“”Other aspirants are Ibrahim Bande with 383 votes while Barrister Muhammad Bello Yakubu had the highest vote of 461 and I declare him as winner .”

In his remarks after declaring him winner of the election, majority leader, Barrister Muhamad Bello Yakubu, expressed his gratitude to almighty Allah for answering his prayers and also thanked the entire delegates of Birnin-kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza for electing him.

He promised to give the people of Birnin-kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency befitting representation if he wins the forthcoming general election. He also assured teeming  youths of his constituency, creation of job opportunities and skill acquisition.
