Primaries: More Groups Protest At APC National Headquarters

The coalition of Good Leadership Forum (GPF), Awgu South of Enugu West, on the platform of the  ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday staged a protest at the national secretariat of the party over Party Primaries.

The groups in their large numbers came with all kinds of posters, banners and t-shirts, protesting what they allege as the petition against imposition of non APC and unpopular candidate of the party’s constitution.

The demands listed on various placards by the groups “ No election in Awgu South Constituency of Enugu West, No To imposition of candidate in Awgu South, APC  NAT Leaders support choice for good leadership, declare Hon. Franklin Ezeuogu Chukwu a flag bearer of our great party, among others.

Speaking with newsmen during the protest in Abuja, Hon. Franklin Ezeuogu Chukwu, who bought its Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for 850,000 to represented Awgu South constituency at the State House of Assembly said, “The name of the candidate they added there is Theophilus Chukwu, and that is not the candidate the people want, I am the person the people want and the whole village is protesting and that is why we are here today.

“For the interest of teeming APC supporters and success of APC not only in the  constituency  both Enugu State in general, we are requesting APC national working committee under the distinguished leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to save the constituency,” he said.

According to him, “we didn’t witness APC primary election in  Awgu South constituency of Enugu State”.
