A firm based in Nigeria, Safewater Energy and Environmental Restoration, SWEERGLOBAL, disclosed plan to create 1000 jobs for people in Bayeslsa State.

This was made known by the founder and Chief Executive Officer, SWEERGLOBAL, Dr Thaddaeus Thompson, while speaking on efforts to attract direct foreign investment to the Niger Delta region and Nigerian economy.

Thompson said the region needs intervention by the private sector and noted government’s role to settle issues in the region, and said the government needs to be complimented and supported by the private sector, but the enabling environment should be provided in terms of security and basic infrastructures as some investors are indicating interest in the region for business.

He said: “The Niger Delta region is heavily endowed with various minerals by nature. It is unfortunate about what has happened over the years in the region, but we should not continue to reel in that sadness instead should see how the private sector would be convinced and attracted to come in to invest, build human capacity, and create wealth for the people.

“The basic thing here is as somebody in the private sector, I am interested in coming in with my partners to assist and compliment the government to put the socio-economic life of the people on the right direction in order for all to benefit, therefore creating a peaceful environment. Let us be realistic, the government alone cannot develop the region, and so, the participation of the private sector.

“SWEERGLOBAL will address a series of problems affecting Bayelsa State and the entire Niger Delta region including agriculture, sanitation, environmental restoration, eliminating plastic bottles pollution, and combating Malaria and Typhoid fever in the region.

“The projects will also create 1000 jobs in Bayelsa during the first year of operation.”

According to the SWEERGLOBAL boss his company has acquired a landed property in Bayelsa for the sitting of the water purification plant and the other services that will follow. He said his company and European partner have concluded plans to install a $5 million multi-functional machine that will bring great relief Niger Delta communities.

“Our company is finalizing a partnership agreement with its European partner specifically to release a thermodynamic water purification system that will permanently resolve the drinking water crisis in Nigeria.

“I was invited to Europe last Thursday for the launching of the new model is highly sophisticated. This multi-functional $5 Million machine will bring great relief to the Niger Delta community and environs after it is installed and starts production”, he stated.
